About Us
DH Metalworks began in 2018, when Dean opened a small workshop in Bibra Lake under the name Wild Iron Designs.
What started as a small metalworking business quickly grew. By 2019, the original workshop had already been outgrown and the business moved into a larger premises to accommodate an expanding range of projects and clients.
As the business evolved, so did the work. What began with a strong foundation in wrought iron and custom metalwork expanded into architectural steelwork, specialised welding and complex fabrication.
With that growth came a new name — DH Metalworks.
Today, we continue to approach every project with the same principles the business was built on: quality workmanship, practical thinking and pride in what we create.
About Dean
Dean's career in metalwork began more than 20 years ago at Vassallo's Wrought Iron, where he worked alongside Vic Vassallo and developed his skills in traditional wrought iron, forging and steel fabrication.
Over the years, Dean's experience has expanded across architectural metalwork, specialised welding and complex custom fabrication. He holds a range of industry qualifications and is also a certified TIG welder.
But it's his ability to solve problems and turn an idea into something tangible that has shaped DH Metalworks.
Whether it's a detailed architectural feature, specialised industrial fabrication or something that's never been built before, Dean still takes the same hands-on approach to the work today.
